DENTAL IMPLANT PLACEMENT
1. WHAT IS A DENTAL IMPLANT?
A dental implant is a technique in which a titanium post is placed into the jawbone to replace the tooth root that has been lost, and later on which a prosthesis will be placed. Prosthesis on the dental implants in our Vietnam office will be created to match the shape and colour of real teeth, to bring you comfort and restore chewing functionality.
2. WHICH CASE IS SUITABLE FOR A DENTAL IMPLANT?
People with a missing tooth or teeth who want to restore their smile and chewing functionality
People who experience issues with their current denture or bridge
People with sufficient bone tissue to support the insert (Otherwise might require bone graft and/or sinus lift)
3. WHAT ARE THE PROS AND CONS OF A DENTAL IMPLANT?
Pros:
Replacing the lost tooth / teeth without affecting surrounding ones
High aesthetic and improved chewing functionality
Prevent bone loss that is caused by tooth loss
Cons:
High full mouth dental implant costs compared to the traditional bridge technique
Longer treatment time (especially if a bone graft is required)
4. WHAT DOES A FULL MOUTH DENTAL IMPLANT ENTAIL?
Step 1: The procedure for the dental implant fluctuates depending on the quantity of implant. On average, each case requires approximately 14-15 days, including 4-5 appointments and one check up.
Taking X-rays and general examination
Dental implant surgery (with teeth removal and bone graft if needed) in one appointment
Take impression for temporary prosthesis (The technique would vary depending on the type of prosthesis)
Install the temporary prosthesis and adjustment (if needed) in several appointments. Please note temporary prosthesis is mainly for appearance and not for functionality
Final check up
Step 2: (6 – 8 months later): On average, each case requires approximately 10 days
Take CT Cone Beam X-rays and check the insert(s)
Take impression for study cast
Install permanent prosthesis and adjustment (2-3 appointments)
Re-examination and final check-up
It is recommended that patients have re-examination every 6 months, either at our center or with any local dental implant specialist.

There is a problem with the implant itself
Problems during placement and prosthesis procedure.
Repair or replacement is done at Dr. Hung & Associates Dental Center (Address: 244A Cong Quynh St, District 1, HCMC, Vietnam). We are not responsible for any payment should you choose to have repair/replacement done at another clinic/center.
Airfare, accommodation, and other transportation fees are NOT included.
CONDITIONS AND REQUIREMENTS FOR WARRANTY
You MUST follow instructions about Implant Home Care to be eligible for our Warranty Policy.
WARRANTY WILL BE REDUCED OR VOIDED FOR:
Allergies and illnesses that were not disclosed properly before the procedure is performed.
A general illness is present which has unfavorable effects on the chewing organ (e.g. diabetes, epilepsy, osteoporosis, after-condition excessive X-rays or chemotherapy).
Bone graft or sinus lift at the same time as the placement.
Excessive smoking or substance abuse.
Poor post-procedure oral hygiene.
Teeth night guard is not used when it is determined that you “clench” or “grind” your teeth.
Damages caused by extreme stress (grinding at night, gripping of the teeth).
We do not take responsibility for prior or continual procedures done by your dental implant specialists back home. The warranty also does not cover damage to procedures caused by or related to other dental work done post treatment.
Patients do not re-visit for oral check-ups and cleanings.
